The Bluffington Four | by Ray Swirsky Oct. 23, 2011 | You set the price! | 122175 words | Sample 75% |
| Author bio: Born in 1960 in the small town of Kimberley in British Columbia, Ray has always been a great fan and participant in the field of the arts. After moving to Calgary in the early eighties to attend technical college, Ray began to indulge in many fields of the arts from painting, photography and writing. Ray never began his writing career until he was in his early forties and has since authored a number of books; His first book, The Bluffington Four is already available at amazon.com and numerous other online retailers all over the world. The Cabinet (A wolf's Tale) is a short, written in simple prose. Some may enjoy this short read, some may not, as the writing style is meant to be awkward and sometimes simple. Just released this February 2012 is Ray's first murder mystery novel, Extreme Malice. If you could create the perfect murder and get away with it, would you? A young university student is charged with murder. His guitar string is wrapped around her neck. His shoe prints are left at the scene. Her earrings found under his bed. Her husband hundreds of miles away. But what really happened...? Ray is working on two more novels. The first is about a disfunctional family struggling with the fallout after both parents suddenly pass away and a fight over the assets ensues, eventually uncovering the possibility that one of the deaths was no accident. Release date fall 2012. The second novel also due to be released in the fall of 2012 covers the circumstances of two young boys who savagely murder their parents. The boys plead gulity to what they've done but will not reveal why. The two soon escape the detention centre and the hunt is on for the two as they seek shelter and cover in the forests along the Rocky Mountains as they fight their way back to their home in Bluffington where the murders took occurred. What really happened in that house and why were the boys so determined to go back to that house at all costs? If reading fiction novels with a bit of sci fi, mystery, and romance appeals to you, then I hope you take the opportunity to enjoy The Bluffington Four. If it's detective murder stories, then Extreme Malice is a much faster paced novel but still a warning for some content may be disturbing to some readers. I am also sure Ray would love to hear any feedback that you would care to offer. |

In The Shadow of Babylon | by John Schwartz Sep. 17, 2011 | You set the price! | 91332 words | Sample 30% |
| Author bio: John Schwartz is not your ordinary author just as his first novel In The Shadow of Babylon is not an ordinary book. John has lived and worked in the USA, Latin America, Asia, Fiji and Europe. He was one of the first people to enter China after the Cultural Revolution. An acclaimed poet, he is the winner of the 2002 Writers Digest National competition. The eleven line poem, unlike the other 19,000 entrants, was not about love, broken hearts, or death ... it was about a skyscraper in Hong Kong. One of the judges was Robert Pinsky (U.S. Poet Laureate 1997-2000) who reviewed his work favorably. A couple of years ago John decided to quit using lucre as a way of keeping score in life. Examining his past he found there were a few basic guidelines that had unwittingly resulted in happiness and other less important achievements in his remarkable life. These guidelines are the core of In The Shadow of Babylon. John currently resides in Oregon. |

Gun Manifesto | by David Majlak July 30, 2011 | You set the price! | 2243 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: Before you begin, if you've purchased any of my works, thank you so, so much. I really hope you enjoy the creativity and effort i've (tried to) put into making it the best that I can as food for the soul and the mind as a sort of escape. I sincerely appreciate your patronage, whether it's worth anything or if it was free, all the same. I enjoy putting custom computers together, video games, my mom, my wife, my dog, and learning useful information. I'm very good with accomplishing tasks despite not having the proper tools for the job. I do not like bees, spiders touching me, poison ivy, hearing Congress making illogical decisions, when my wife yells at me, when my mom yells at me, when my dog pees inside on the carpet, or when my computer crashes on me. I have a great sense of humor, a fine amount of wit, and use sarcasm very well. I also despise reality TV shows because my wife dominates the TV with them. I am friendly, understanding, and quite hospitable. I've never been in a fistfight, an accident, or on a plane. I'm also an expecting father. I'm also an expecting father a hair away from poverty. If I wasn't, I would most likely have a physical copy of my own books :) I wish I had the money to perform beneficial works to society for nothing in return, I wish I could paint and read and study and meditate all day, and I wish I could share the more important aspects of life with everyone. |

| Author bio: My name is Jason Watson, I hail from the sleepy little shire of Palmerston North in New Zealand. I must ask you this, the greatest questions of our time: Is the pen indeed mightier than the sword; or is it just another form of the sword? (Which begs the question; Because you can't have the word "sword" without "words"; Does that make writing a Yiddish conspiracy?) Join with me as I delve into this, the meaninglessness of belly-button fluff and the other great mysteries of our time! |
