Take it from a woman who has experienced "vagina smell" or more specifically a fishy vaginal odor. I have done my homework and everybody has their opinions on a woman's body. Here are some that I happen to agree with:
1,
that fishy vagina smell is not normal at all.
2, yeast infections
usually don't smell fishy.
3, bacterial infections & stds can
cause this fishy odor.
It
is in my experience that most occurrences of a "vagina smell"
or more specifically a fishy vaginal odor comes from either bacterial
vaginosis or an STD (Read up on it if I'm not believed). If you have
seldom had sex, it’s is most likely a bacterial infection like
bacterial vaginosis. But I am no doctor...you must see what color
your discharge is. Bacterial infections normally cause narrow, milky
discharge. But no other method beats going to your doctor &
seeing what it is for sure.
I
would not try all of these things they suggest you do at the "cures
for bacterial vaginosis" websites if you don't even know what it
is. You'd be filled with monistat, azos, miconazole, YOGURT, garlic,
douches, deodorant, & everything else. So go to a gynecologist
first off, and then frequently visit your gynecologist. It is the
best thing for a woman to do.
It’s
not unusual for a young girl, or any woman for that matter, to wonder
or be insecure about her smells because you are becoming more aware
of your body. Now I definitely agree with not bathing so much, once a
day ought to do it. Douching too often is not good and from lots of
experience I recommend not at all. Showers are better. Baths permit
all of the dirt from your body to enter the vagina...although a hot,
bubble bath is relaxing from time to time...its not nice for all the
time.
It’s
perfectly normal to want to keep away from odors, especially coming
from the vagina. I have had many problems with a bad vagina smell,
but it made me educate myself & see a gynecologist to learn about
what is going on with my body. I'm not going to diagnose you &
I'm no doctor, but keep your vagina dry & ventilated. No
fragrance sprays are ever good. They irritate your vagina and cause
damage.
So
What Is Bacterial Vaginosis?
Bacterial
vaginosis (BV)
is the most common cause of vaginal infection. It is less commonly
referred to as vaginal bacteriosis. Bacterial
vaginosis (BV)
is caused by an imbalance of naturally occurring bacterial flora, and
should not be confused with yeast infection.
