Chapter 1 : Introduction



This course is designed to teach you how an Auto Responder List works and how to build your own profitable list. Most of all, I hope to save you a lot of time so you don’t have to spend weeks or even months trying to figure out what you need to succeed like I did.

You will be shown ways to build a list which, if harnessed properly, can speed up the whole process and help you to build a large and responsive list. You’ll also be shown where to source decent content and also things you should not do when working with your list.

A list can be one of the most valuable resources in your Internet Marketing Arsenal. If you’re not building a list, you’re without a doubt missing out on lots of sales opportunities now and in the future. Many marketers who own good responsive lists would agree that they can make more money from just one well written email to their list than they do from sales from their sites.

Each list consists of people who have asked for information from you and, as a precursor to that, have agreed to submit their details, (often just name and email,) in return for that information.

The subscribers could be from anywhere and have vastly different experiences in the online world. Most likely there will be one or two of your competitors in there as well, checking out what you’re up to.

Once each individual has joined your list, you can then market various products to them and earn a commission each time they make a purchase.

You do, however, need to be aware that there are many anti-spam laws which you need to comply with when you use email as a marketing tool. If you have a decent Auto Responder, they will help you to ensure that you comply with these laws before you send out each email.

The best way to protect yourself from the many tripwires is to use a double opt-in. This means that your subscribers will be required to click on a link they receive via the email they used to register before the process is completed.

Unfortunately this does mean that you will always lose a percentage of subscribers that have not clicked the link. I personally run at about a 21% loss over my combined lists but would rather stay safe and take the small hit rather than potentially losing everything if your site is pulled down and your subscriber list deleted. It is up to you of course, but I advise the safer option.







Chapter 2 : Why Own A List?



As the title says why would you bother to own a list?

It’s not something that is required. In fact, there’s a surprisingly high number of marketers who never even consider building a list.

A better question really is “why on earth would you not build a list if it’s possible?”

Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest business’ to walk into but also a lot harder than most people think when they decide to try. High quality traffic is one of the hardest things to generate without spending a lot of money or time.

If you work really hard to get a sale for someone else and you get paid – great! But surely, rather than getting paid your $20 or whatever the sale is worth and saying goodbye to that quality lead forever, it must be better to be able to come back and sell to that same prospect over and over?

Lists are a very valuable resource, especially if they are in a specific niche and if you have a good relationship with your list i.e. you don’t bombard them with constant junk sales emails. Then you will have a very good chance of making sales every time you do send out a decent email.

It means that when you have a new product, you will have a line of buyers ready to buy that product. No waiting weeks or even months on end for your websites SEO to start working. No need to pay for advertising.

It’s essential that you don’t have general lists. They must each be niche specific. When you send out emails with either content or affiliate products, they must be relevant to that niche. If you send lots of info about Internet Marketing to a group that subscribed to a site about training your dog, they will quickly lose interest and unsubscribe.

You can do market research through your list, carry out surveys and find out what the current market wants at that moment. You can also get testimonials from your lists if you have a good relationship. We will cover this in detail later.

As your list gets bigger, you can start running ad swaps with other marketers and build your list even more. From there the effect can snowball, creating a larger list and therefore a higher level of income each time you send out a sales email.

With the information in this program you will be able to work closely with your list, build your relationship with them and benefit from increased income to your online business.
